4th of July Witch

This is a witch from the digi stamps set from ScrapItPlus.  It is called "Everyday Kids Witch".   (ScrapItPlus.com  e-store)  She is new, and I couldn't wait to color her, but it is only JULY. . . witches are for October.

Then it hit me.  We have a family "Christmas in July" every year.  So why can't I have a "Witch in July" this year.  I got out my Copics and off I went. Her skin looks actually more washed out that she really is.  Oh well.   I also forgot to add the blush.  (My new motto is to EMBRACE IMPERFECTION-- so I had better do that.

I added BoBunny paper to the background, and decided to either send it as a card or make it a 6"X6" wall art.

I used these colors:

Skin:  E000, E00, E01, E02  (Oops, forgot the blush)
Blues:  B93, B95, B97, Deep shadow:  B99
Reds:  R22 (Base), R27 and R59 for Deep shadow
Lips:  R22
Shoes:  C3, C5
White:  paper color (I should have added C0 for slight shadow on white.  OOPS
Stars:  White gel pen -- Uniball   Signo

I "fussy cut" her out.  One thing nice about most of the Everyday Kids, they are soooo easy to cut out.
Most of the images come in three sizes -- and the Everyday Kids Witch is no exception.

Green Green Green -- We colored GREEN -- with YG21, 23, 25, 45 --

Oh, how I love those DRAGONS -- and I am NOT a dragon person.  You should see the two NEW ones that are ALMOST done.

Here is Dragon Jill Swinging -- surrounded by the beautiful Spellbinder dies.  I have totally fallen in love with the new Spellbinder dies.  And I am REALLY excited about the larger Grand Caliber dies.  They just keep making things bigger.

And, of course, there had to be a scrapbooking girl in the Everyday Kids Series.  She had to be green, too.

And how do you like the Feather embellishment?  WOW

If you want to purchase the digi images, go to ScrapItPlus.com  (e-store).  They each come in three sizes -- perfect for many occasions.

Hair Hair Hair -- How do you color hair, and what markers do you need?  One of the biggest question we get is what markers do I used for hair.  Now, I am going to give you some answers.

Real hair has many many colors.   I decided to get logical about this question.  To begin with, I am going to post hair using color families.

So watch this post, or go to my Pinterest board  (http://pinterest.com/copicclasseroom/copic-classroom/)

The first color family I am using is the Earth tones in the 20's.  This family of browns tend to be warm.  Some look almost blond going to a brown, brunette, and auburn.  The markers I used are E21,23,25,27,29.  I colored the base coat first.  The first color listed is the base coat.  Then progressed on.  See the YouTube video to check it out.

E-mail me at jofacets@gmail.com and I will e-mail you this image and a blank image to color your own free of charge.

Oh my gosh.  I got these new dies that make windows and shutters.  I could hardly wait to use it.  We have over 60 EVERYDAY KIDS digi prints.   This is just one of them.  I call it "Girl with Tulips"  I actually made it for my mom, as she loves to garden, and loves dogs.  So I colored two of the 17 dogs we have in digi stamps to look like our Mocah and Latte.

Then, of course, I had to make curtains out of vellum, and grass out of some scrap paper.  After I made it as a card, I am thinking about putting it in a scrapbook for her, as I have other Everyday kids that remind me of her.

We sell the digi image at ScrapItPlus.com/

We have a new series, called Dragons, Dragons, Dragons.  These were so much fun to color using the Copic Markers.

I used these colors:

Dragon, leaves Green  YG21, 23,25,45
Dragon:  Violet:  V12,15,17
Pot:  E11,13,15,17
Flower:  Y13,17,19

I don't know I first made this in to a card -- 6X6, but have decided I am going to make it in to a wall hanging-- with a series of three dragons.  I think that will be fun.

I added a photo of the  2nd and third dragon -- wow, am I loving these.  They are so easy and so much fun to color.

You can buy the images at www.ScrapItPlus.com -- e-store.

jo

OK -- took the sentiments off, pasted to 6X6 chip  board, punched holes, added rings and ribbon -- cards turned in to wall hanging . . .  I have a grand nephew that would LOVE it. . .but he would want to color it  himself.

OOPS Dream

This card was done with TWO images -- OOPS (little boy)  and Horse Fancy (horse Head)
I have a video of coloring the horse head -- when it is posted to YouTube I will change this post and tell you where to find it.

These two images are two of my favorites from ScrapItPlus.  Actually, they are two I had in my head for the artist to draw.  And all I can say is WOW -- Can she read my mind.

The digi images come in three sizes -- and can be purchased at ScrapItPlus.com (e-store)

Thanks

Horse Fancy

This was so much fun.  I sat down with Jennifer Aldridge, our artist, and said I wanted a horses head that looked very ethereal -- one I would like to frame and hang in my home. This is what she came up with.  I immediately fell in love with it.  It is sold in three sizes, but I have larger sizes because I am going to color one and frame it for my home.

If you want this digi image in Black and White, it is sold in the three sizes (2, 3, 4 inches) at ScrapItPlus.com (e-store)
